Record of participation in Montreal Association tournaments

In 2017, the Montreal Regional golf Association had a record participation in its amateur and senior tournaments. More than 876 golfers participated in our activities, an increase of 12% compared to 2016. The 2018 season also looks interesting with the arrival of new golf clubs for these tournaments.

Despite the snow and the cold of January that falls on our heads, the Montreal Regional Association is already at work for the next season. André Burgoyne (headline photo), the tournament manager, has already completed his schedule for the 2018 season, for amateurs and seniors.

The season will begin May 22th with the D1 tournament, at the 2000 International Golf Club (120 golfers). This will be the first of the season and, in addition, players will be able to improve their differential for the 2017 Provincial Order of Merit. This course, known for its early and late-season debut, is a challenge for golfers with huge and wavy greens. Note the beautiful scenery, close to the US border.

Pinegrove will host the second tournament of the season.

Afterwards, the Pinegrove Golf Club (May 28th, 136 golfers) did us the honor. to receive the D2 in a continuous tournament. The number is limited, do not wait too long to register. For buffs, remember holes 9 and 18, which are probably two of the most picturesque holes in Quebec.

The D3 (Champêtre, June 18) and D4 (Whitlock, August 13) will be two tournaments that will accommodate cross-runs in the morning and afternoon for 168 golfers.

The Montreal championships

Other tournaments in Montreal include the Montreal Senior Championship on July 30, which returns to the prestigious Kanawaki Golf Club (128 players). The Amateur Championship will be at the superb Atlantide Golf Club, which has been running for two years in perfect condition. This will be held on August 20th. (120 players)

Finally, the Montreal Four-Ball Championship will be held at the Rosemère Club on August 27th.

We invite all golfers from Montreal and elsewhere to register. Golf Québec membership with a recognized handicap is mandatory to participate in these events. The Blue Golf portal will be available from April 1 midnight, register quickly to avoid disappointment.
