The amateur and senior season is now launched in the region of Montreal.

Normand Martel, Cerf holds the amateur title


Once again, Normand Martel wins the spring D1 tournament for a second straight year in a row. This tournament, held at international 2000 golf club permitted Normand Martel to distinguish himself once again. Turning in a scorecard of 75, only 3 over par, he was 1 point ahead of Mario Coursol from Lachute who played 76. Normand now holds under his wing 250 points from the amateurs region Order of Merit.


Claude Huneault, Val Morin, holds the senior title


An exciting competiton in the seniors catagory this year, Claude Huneaut turns in a scorecard of 72 beating the Dagenais and Cooke duo by 1 point. Graham Cooke finished his round with 2 birdies bringing him closer to the leader. He holds second place with the always steady performer Serge Dagenais from Valée de Richelieu golf club.

By virtue of the retrograde that handed the 2nd position in the seniors to Graham Cooke, Serge Dagenais won the super seniors with his round of 73. Cooke 73, Richard Hallée 78 and René Carpentier 78 also shined.
