2022 tournament season is indeed launched in the Montreal Regional Association

After two years of pandemic or regional tournaments began in June, it was good to see volunteers and competitors on the grounds of the first tournaments of the 2022 season of the Regional Association.
It all began on May 24th at the Triangle d'Or, which had put on its beautiful clothes for our visit. A course in perfect condition and fast greens that have forced golfers to take their precaution on their putts. The amateur category finished the competition first and it was Yanick Laforest who got the title with a magnificent round of 70 be 2 below normal. Vincent Laplante, Kanawaki, and Mario Coursol, Lachute followed him with their rounds of 72, which is par. For Senior Gilles Choquette, Saint Jean, finished with a par score of 72 to beat François Caron, Boucherville and Pierre Legault, Islesmere who handed in a 74, 2-card above normal. Finally the super-senior category crowned Paul Schofield, Boucherville with a 78-2 round ahead of Mark Donnely of the Champêtre.
The tournament was held in mild weather, and the players enjoyed their round of golf. The next tournament will take place at the Lachute Golf Club on June 7, 2022. The tournament is sold out with about 20 players waiting.
These three winners obviously take the lead in the Taylor Made Order of Merit and the race to the Order of Merit and the final final of the season at the Valleyfield Golf Club is underway.
